Screenshots
I recently got around to (re)installing linux on my main machine again after almost a year of only Windows XP Pro usage. The distro I eventually went for was Gentoo. I cheated by doing the Stage3 install, so it was up and running after some minor driver issues and an accidental recompilation of Xfree86 in a couple of evenings work. Which given how long I was trying to persuade debian-stable to work with my hardware last year is quite impressive.

Those that know me, know I like my eye-candy. As a first thing to put in this section I've included a couple of screenshots of my desktop, which is now fairly nicely set up. I'm running Opera, with breeze simplified theme; metacity, with the Hacked 2 beta window surround and Milk 2.0 controls; and xmms, with UltraClean theme. The icons are from all over the place, but most are BeOS ones.
